Location: Doncaster (DN1)
Pay Rate: £140 to £190 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable ICT Teacher to join schools in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging ICT lessons while fostering students' interest in technology and digital skills.

About the Role:

As an ICT Teacher, you will have the chance to play a pivotal role in preparing students for the digital age. Your lessons will cover a range of topics from coding to online safety, equipping students with essential technical and problem-solving skills. Your creativity and passion for the subject will empower learners and encourage a lifelong interest in technology.

ICT Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging ICT lessons tailored to Key Stages.
  • Teach topics such as programming, web development, software applications, and cybersecurity.
  • Use innovative teaching methods to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assess, monitor, and track students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them excel.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity and collaboration.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and digital skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement effective teaching strategies.

Requirements needed for an ICT Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching ICT at Key Stages 3,4 and 5.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ICT curriculums and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for technology and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
