Salary Range: M1 - UPS3 (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Religious Studies Teacher to join a thriving school inHull.
As a Religious Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that foster a deep understanding of religious beliefs, values, and practices. The ideal candidate will be able to inspire students to think critically and engage with the subject matter in a meaningful way.
Job Responsibilities of the Religious Studies Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover the key concepts of religious studies, ensuring they align with the national curriculum.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment that encourages open discussion and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support to help students achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to departmental planning, development, and innovation.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Uphold the school’s values and ethos, ensuring the wellbeing of students is prioritised.
Requirements of the Religious Studies Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS3 & KS4) is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Passion for religious education and the ability to engage students with a diverse range of beliefs and perspectives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
