Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant 

Location: East Riding

Pay Scale: £84 - £107 per day (Depending on experience) 

Start Date: January 2025

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-time/Part-time

Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant: 

-        Provide one-on-one and group support tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs. 

-        Assist teachers in delivering engaging and adapted lessons to meet individual requirements. 

-        Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. 

-        Monitor and report on student progress and well-being. 

-        Support students in managing their emotions and developing social skills. 

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role: 

-        Experience in supporting children with special educational needs is preferred but not essential. 

-        Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents. 

-        A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting students. 

-        Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. 

-        Relevant qualifications in educational support or childcare are advantageous.
