Teacher of Music and Drama
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start date: January 2025
Contract: Full Time
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

If so, GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Music and Drama to join our Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire, starting from January 2025.
What we are looking for:
- A forward-thinking professional who can motivate students by stoking their enthusiasm for drama and music.
- Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Possesses a degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Has proven experience teaching Music and Drama at the secondary school level.
- Familiarity with the BTEC curriculum and evaluation would be beneficial.
- Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Responsibilities will include:
- Teach Music and Drama at Key Stage 3 and Music at Key Stage 4.
- Organise a coherent sequence of lessons that progressively build students' skills and knowledge in both subjects.
- Continuous contribution to the performing arts team and the school as a whole.
- Identify and address diverse learning needs, providing additional support or enrichment opportunities.
- Oversee school productions, concerts, and performances, including annual plays, musicals, and recitals.
- Lead extracurricular activities, such as music ensembles, drama clubs, and workshops, to enhance students' learning experiences.
