Position: Humanities Teacher
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: January 2025/Immediate

GSL Education is currently seeking a dynamic Secondary Humanities Teacher to join a local school in Southampton from January 2025, with the possibility of an earlier start if preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive Humanities lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to succeed.
- Utilise innovative teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world examples to make Humanities subjects relevant and captivating for students.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behaviour and encourages a love for the Humanities among students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS
- Proven experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
