GSL Education are actively seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at Schools in Totton. SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
- Implement strategies to support students with diverse special needs particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs to help them reach their maximum potential.
- Cooperating with teachers and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Utilising various methods to encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
- Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special needs.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
- Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
- A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
