Job Title: Special Educational Needs TA (Teaching Assistant)

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) for a vibrant school in Blandford to support students with diverse learning requirements. This position is perfect for individuals with a genuine commitment to inclusivity and a passion for assisting pupils in overcoming educational challenges.
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will assist in managing day-to-day classroom activities, providing personalised support, and adapting materials to meet the needs of students with special educational needs. Being a collaborative role, this position requires close cooperation with teachers, parents, and SEN coordinators.
Responsibilities of a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with a range of special needs, adapting resources as needed
- Assist teachers in implementing personalised education plans
- Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with staff to ensure individualised learning
- Monitor and report on student progress to relevant staff
Required Qualifications for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
