Autism Teaching Assistant
Location: Winton
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time/Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) to work at an outstanding school in Winton. About the Role:
As an Autism Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide targeted support to students with autism, helping them access the curriculum and engage with their peers. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure each student feels valued, understood, and supported in their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Offer one-to-one or small group support to students with autism.
- Assist in implementing individual learning plans tailored to students' needs.
- Help students develop communication, social, and emotional skills.
- Support classroom activities, ensuring a calm and positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers and parents on students’ progress.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere for all students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children with autism is desirable.
- An empathetic and patient approach to supporting students.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of autism and how it impacts learning and behaviour.
- A willingness to adapt and respond to the unique needs of each student.
