Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2025

GSL Education are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded school in Boston. This role is ideal for someone eager to make a positive impact on the early educational experiences of young children.
The Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the early years team, supporting the learning and development of children aged 3 to 5 years. Your role will involve assisting the class teacher in creating a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages children's curiosity and love for learning.
Responsibilities of an EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Assist in the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, helping them with their individual needs.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting their progress and providing feedback.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents and carers, ensuring effective communication.
- Encourage social interactions and support children's emotional well-being.
- Help with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources.
- Promote good behaviour and positive attitudes, using strategies that encourage self-regulation and independence.
- Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, dressing etc where necessary.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your professional development.
The successful candidate will:
- Previous experience working within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, CACHE Level 3) would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) related strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding the well-being of children and young people.
- A collaborative and proactive attitude, with a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
