Behaviour Support Assistant

Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Job Description
GSL Education is seeking dedicated individuals with a passion for supporting young people who face academic, behavioural, social, and emotional challenges. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work 1:1 or with small groups of students in inclusion units, Alternative Provisions, and SEN Schools across Lincoln.
- Support the school in its mission, aligning with its aims and ethos.
- Assist children participating in activity groups, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Help implement 1:1 behavioural intervention programs for students with Autism, developmental delays, or other Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Observe, engage with, and document student behaviour.
- Follow lesson plans and lead assigned activities.
- Maintain a high standard of educational support.
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times.

Requirements:
- A Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
- Relevant experience working with children or young people.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful candidates must pass all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
