SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Romsey
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour. (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and outstanding school in Romsey. This role is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a genuine interest in supporting SEN students in their educational journey.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be working alongside experienced teachers to provide tailored support for students with a variety of learning needs. You will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students feel confident and able to engage fully with their lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist in the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and adaptations for SEN students.
  • Help students with their social and emotional development, ensuring a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students in small group settings or on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to achieve their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to monitor student progress and provide feedback.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or a similar role supporting students with SEN is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of students with SEN.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for working with young learners and helping them succeed.
  • An understanding of safeguarding protocols and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment.
