Location: Swanwick
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour. (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students who require additional support to achieve their academic and personal goals. Your role will involve assisting teachers, adapting learning materials, and fostering a safe and inclusive classroom environment. This position offers the chance to contribute to the development and success of students with SEN, ensuring they feel valued and supported every step of the way.

Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Adapt teaching materials to make learning accessible for all students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Monitor and support the emotional and social development of students.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and parents to address individual needs.
  • Offer personal care and assistance when necessary, ensuring student dignity.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Role:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly in an SEN setting, is desirable.
  • A nurturing, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and development.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
