SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Locks Heath
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour. (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)to join an outstanding school in Locks Heath. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students with additional needs in reaching their full potential.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide essential support to students with SEN, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a positive, inclusive, and engaging educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist in planning and delivering lessons that meet individual needs.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel valued.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work one-to-one and in small groups to help students achieve their goals.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers.
  • Provide personal care where necessary, ensuring dignity and respect.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)Role:

  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
