SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hedge End
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour. (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to support students with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment. Your role will involve one-to-one support, small group work, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering adapted lessons.
- Create a nurturing environment that promotes student confidence and success.
- Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers.
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Deliver personal care when required, maintaining dignity and respect.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A caring, empathetic, and patient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different learners.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
