Special Education Needs TA  
Location: Wimborne 
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour(Depending on experience) 
Start date: Immediate 
Contract type: Full Time/Part time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a supportive school in Wimborne. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of students with additional needs. 

Responsibilities: 

As a Special Education Needs TA, you will: 

  • Support students with SEN in their academic, social, and emotional development. 

  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCo to implement personalised learning plans. 

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support tailored to individual student needs. 

  • Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. 

  • Assist in managing behaviour and encouraging positive interactions. 

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to support student development. 

Requirements: 

To excel as a Special Education Needs TA, you should have: 

  • A passion for supporting children with SEN and a desire to make a difference. 

  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with additional needs (advantageous). 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to apply for one.
