Behaviour Support Worker 

Location: Poole 
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience) 
Start date: Immediate 
Contract type: Full Time/Part time

Responsibilities: 

As a Behaviour Support Worker, your role will involve: 

  • Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties to engage in learning. 

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students to promote positive behaviour. 

  • Assisting teachers in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies. 

  • Offering one-on-one or small group support tailored to individual student needs. 

  • Helping students develop emotional regulation, resilience, and self-confidence. 

  • Monitoring and reporting on behavioural progress and providing feedback to staff. 

Requirements: 

To succeed as a Behaviour Support Worker, you should have: 

  • A genuine commitment to helping children and young people succeed. 

  • Experience working with children with behavioural or emotional challenges (desirable but not essential). 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • A calm, patient, and solution-focused approach to behaviour management. 

  • The ability to adapt to the needs of individual students. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one.
