Primary Teacher
Location: Dorchester
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Start Date: January 2025

As a Primary Teacher, you will deliver inspiring lessons that motivate and engage students, fostering a love for learning while encouraging creativity and critical thinking. You’ll be a vital part of a team dedicated to academic excellence and the holistic development of every child.

Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and supported.
  • Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide meaningful feedback to encourage growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and implement effective teaching practices.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and carers, offering updates on student development and progress.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Promote positive behaviour and develop strategies to ensure the well-being of every student.

Primary Teacher Qualifications:

  • QTS or a relevant qualification such as QTLS, PGCE, etc., is required.
  • A degree in education or a related field is required.
  • Experience teaching at the primary level, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Exceptional communication and classroom management skills.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a dedication to fostering student success.
  • A proactive approach to collaboration and continuous professional development.

To thrive in this role, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
