Location: Lincoln
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time

About the Role

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). From creating personalised learning plans to providing emotional and academic support, your work will have a lasting impact. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure every child feels valued and included in the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with autism.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes confidence and independence.
  • Assist with adapting lessons and activities to suit individual needs.
  • Help students manage their emotions and develop social skills.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and behaviour, reporting to teachers and SEN staff.
  • Encourage and celebrate student achievements, no matter how small.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with autism or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
