Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full Time

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to students who may face emotional, social, or behavioural difficulties. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will create strategies to help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. This role is ideal for individuals who are resilient, compassionate, and committed to empowering young learners.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant :

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students to help manage their behaviour.
  • Assist in implementing tailored behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, acting as a role model.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans.
  • Monitor and document student progress, reporting to staff as required.
  • Support students in developing self-regulation, confidence, and social skills.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements for a Behaviour Support Assistant :

  • Experience in a similar role or working with children and young people with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively and with professionalism.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
