Attendance Officer
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £100 - £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch is looking for a dedicated and experienced Attendance Officer to join a comprehensive girls' school in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience and knowledge of SIMS to make a real impact in a vibrant and supportive school environment.

Responsibilities of the Attendance Officer:

  • Monitor and manage daily student attendance records.
  • Identify and follow up on absences promptly using SIMS software.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies regarding attendance matters.
  • Prepare reports on attendance trends for senior leadership.
  • Support the school’s safeguarding team by flagging concerns related to attendance.
  • Help implement strategies to improve overall attendance rates.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements.

Requirements for the Attendance Officer:

  • Proven experience as an Attendance Officer in a school setting.
  • Proficiency in using SIMS software is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to promoting good attendance and punctuality.
