Responsibilities of an Exam Invigilator:

  • Oversee the set-up of examination rooms according to official guidelines.
  • Ensure students adhere to examination regulations and prevent any malpractice.
  • Distribute and collect examination materials, including papers and stationery.
  • Provide clear instructions to students before, during, and after exams.
  • Monitor the examination process, ensuring a calm and professional atmosphere.
  • Report any issues or irregularities to the exam coordinator promptly.

Requirements for the Exam Invigilator Role:

  • A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A professional attitude and understanding of the importance of exams.
  • Previous experience in an educational or invigilation role is desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work during exam periods, which may include mornings and afternoons.
