SEN School Care
Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm
Salary Scale: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual for the position of Special Educational Needs (SEN) School Care for a supportive school in Bournemouth. This role involves providing specialised care and support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a nurturing school environment.
As an SEN School Care, you will be responsible for fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that promotes personal growth and academic success.
Responsibilities of an SEN School Care:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, addressing their individual needs.
- Assist with daily activities, including learning tasks and personal care where necessary.
- Encourage student participation in classroom and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to ensure cohesive support plans.
- Monitor and report on student progress to appropriate stakeholders.
Required Qualifications for an SEN School Care:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN as a care worker or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Relevant training or qualifications in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo a new check.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
