Salary Range: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/Part-time

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural difficulties, working closely with teachers, parents and other support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include both classroom assistance and individualised interventions, ensuring each student receives the necessary support to thrive academically and socially.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Provide targeted support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
  • Conduct one-on-one and small group sessions tailored to address specific behavioural issues and support individual needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion and engagement of students with behavioural challenges.
  • Employ effective techniques to manage crises and behavioural incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Track and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalised behaviour support plans.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have prior experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours is essential.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Possess the flexibility to support students with a range of needs and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • A high degree of empathy, patience and understanding when dealing with students facing behavioural challenges.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
