Contract: Daily Supply, Long Term
Salary: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role:

As an ASD Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with students who have ASD, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. You’ll assist the classroom teacher in creating a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every child can succeed.

Responsibilities of an ASD Teaching Assistant - Primary:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with ASD.
  • Help implement personalised education plans (PEPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm environment.
  • Encourage independence and confidence in students.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

Requirements for the ASD Teaching Assistant - Primary Role:

  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team and other staff.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
