Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant – SEND/ADHD Support:
- Provide focused support to students with SEND and ADHD, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers to tailor lessons and activities to suit individual student needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all learners.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant – SEND/ADHD Support:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND or ADHD is highly desirable.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
