SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Swanwick
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-Term/Permanent, Full-Time/Part-Time

GSL Education are delighted to offer an opportunity for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools in Swanwick. This role allows you to foster student growth, independence, and resilience, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and external professionals to create a nurturing environment tailored to individual learning needs. Your contributions will empower students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
SEN TA Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist in creating and implementing personalised learning plans.
- Modify classroom resources to ensure inclusivity and engagement.
- Foster emotional well-being, positive behaviour, and a safe learning environment.
- Support the development of communication, social, and life skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide cohesive student support.
Qualifications Needed for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN as a SEN Teaching Assistant is required.
- A recognised qualification such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent is essential.
- Familiarity with SEN strategies and learning support techniques.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping children succeed.
- Experience managing challenging behaviours is highly advantageous.
