Learning Support Assistant 

Location: Scunthorpe 

Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day(Depending on experience) 

Start Date: Immediate 

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work at an alternative provision in Scunthorpe. If you have experience with special educational needs (SEN) and are ready to make a real difference, we want to hear from you! 

Responsibilities: 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: 

  • Provide individual and small-group support to students with SEN. 

  • Help create a positive and supportive learning environment. 

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programmes. 

  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage confidence and engagement. 

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of each student. 

 

Requirements: 

To succeed as a Learning Support Assistant, you will need: 

  • Experience working with children with SEN (essential). 

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different needs. 

  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
