Special Education Teaching Assistant 

Location: Scunthorpe 
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience) 
Start Date: Immediate 
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Scunthorpe. Responsibilities: 

As a Special Education Teaching Assistant, you will: 

  • Provide tailored support to children with SEN in both classroom and one-to-one settings. 

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. 

  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development. 

  • Encourage positive behaviour and help to create a nurturing learning environment. 

  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. 

Requirements:

To be successful as a Special Education Teaching Assistant, you must have: 

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (essential). 

  • A strong understanding of how to support children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. 

  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. 

  • The ability to work well as part of a team. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to apply for one.
