Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time/Part-Time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join a compassionate and supportive team at a school in Christchurch.
In this role, you’ll be working closely with students to support their emotional and mental wellbeing, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students as a Mental Health Support Worker, helping them manage their emotional and mental health needs.
- Implement strategies to support students in coping with stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
- Work with teachers, parents, and mental health professionals to create tailored support plans.
- Offer guidance to students on self-regulation and emotional resilience.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to staff and parents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Mental Health Support Worker or in a related role is desirable.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues and a compassionate approach to supporting students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., in mental health, psychology, or social care) are desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
