Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Full-Time/Part-Time

GSL Education are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive client school in Bournemouth.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in guiding students towards positive behavioural outcomes, creating a nurturing learning environment for them to thrive in.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students as a Behaviour Support Worker, addressing behavioural needs and barriers to learning.
  • Help implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and productive environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support their progress.
  • Assist teachers in creating and maintaining a focused and calm classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide updates on student behaviour and progress as a Behaviour Support Worker.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Worker or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
