About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, your primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5). You will have the opportunity to bring Science to life, using your expertise and creativity to engage students in practical and theoretical learning. This is an excellent chance to work within outstanding schools and be part of a dedicated and professional team.
Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons.
- Inspire students to achieve their best and develop a genuine love for Science.
- Teach across a range of Science disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and strategies for student success.
- Support students in preparing for exams and coursework.
Requirements for the Science Teacher Role:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).
- Specialism in Science, with the ability to teach at secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Experience in teaching KS3, KS4, and/or KS5.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for Science and inspiring young minds.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided).
