About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide valuable support to the teaching staff in a secondary school setting. Your role will involve assisting with lesson delivery, supporting students’ academic progress, and helping with classroom management. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about education and keen to make a difference in the classroom.
Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA),:
- Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
- Assist students with their work, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
- Help manage the classroom, ensuring students are focused and engaged.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with marking and preparing resources for lessons.
- Promote positive behaviour and help students reach their full potential.
Requirements for the Graduate Teaching Assistant Role:
- A degree in a relevant subject or field.
- Passion for education and working with young people.
- Experience working in schools or with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to support students in their learning.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic school environment.
