Role Summary:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the classroom teacher, supporting students in their learning activities and ensuring they engage with the curriculum. Your role will be essential in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every student can thrive. You will provide tailored support to students, helping them with both academic tasks and personal development, ensuring they feel confident and motivated to succeed.

Core Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and creating an engaging classroom environment
  • Support individual students or small groups, helping them understand and complete tasks
  • Adapt teaching materials and approaches to cater to students’ different learning needs
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the teaching team and other staff to offer comprehensive support to students
  • A genuine interest in working with children and helping them reach their full potential
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
  • A patient and flexible approach, with the ability to adjust to students' individual needs
  • An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
  • Competitive hourly pay of £12.82 - £14.72
