Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Poole
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate
Contract type: Full Time/Part time

We, GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in primary and secondary schools across Poole immediately.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you willsupport students with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively in their learning environment, work closely with teachers and other staff to implement behaviour management strategies and provide one-on-one or group support.
The Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Teaching Assistant are:
- Working closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support and interventions.
- Assisting students with the curriculum and syllabus, preparing lessons tailored to different key stages.
- Providing one-to-one or small group support for students, ensuring they receive the guidance needed to excel in their studies.
- Working closely with students who have SEND, SEN, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs, helping them integrate into the classroom and develop essential skills.
- Helping maintains classroom behaviour, providing support that promotes positive outcomes for all students.
Requirements for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Education or other relevant degree.
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and experience working with students at different key stages.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed.
