Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a motivated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Poole, where you’ll play a crucial role in helping students with diverse needs thrive.
About The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of learning needs, providing them with tailored support both in and out of the classroom. Your role will be focused on enabling these students to engage with the curriculum, fostering their confidence, and supporting their personal and academic growth. You will collaborate with teachers to ensure every student receives the best possible learning experience.
Key Duties of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, helping them navigate the curriculum
- Assist students in developing essential skills and boosting their confidence in various subjects
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons, resources, and activities to meet the specific needs of SEN students
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support strategies to promote continuous improvement
- Support students with social and emotional development, offering guidance where needed
- A genuine desire to support students with additional learning needs
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork
- Experience working with SEN students is beneficial, but not essential
- A patient and empathetic nature, able to build strong relationships with students
- Flexibility and the ability to adjust to various teaching and support methods
- An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.82 - £14.72
