Autism Teaching Assistant
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant for a client school in Christchurch.

Autism Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and implementing personalised education plans (IEPs) for students with autism.
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support and interventions.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and track their progress.
- Help deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and the support provided.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Autism Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of autism and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are desirable.
