Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the classroom, assisting students and teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. You will support students of varying abilities, helping them to overcome challenges and ensuring they are fully engaged with the curriculum. Your role will be central in promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment where each student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Help students better understand lesson content and encourage their active participation in class activities
- Support the teacher with classroom management and ensure a positive learning atmosphere
- Assist in creating and adapting learning resources to suit students’ abilities and interests
- Track student progress and offer feedback to teachers on their development
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure each student receives the support they need
- A genuine interest in helping children succeed, especially those with additional learning needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
- Experience in a similar role is helpful, but not a requirement
- A patient and flexible approach, willing to adapt to the needs of each student
- An updated CV and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
