Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Christchurch. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom and support students in their learning journey.
Role Overview:
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have the right tools and encouragement to succeed. Your role will involve working closely with both the teaching team and the students, creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels supported. You will assist in adapting lessons, promoting student engagement, and ensuring individual progress.
Main Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Support students in completing tasks, offering encouragement, and fostering their independence
- Help with lesson preparation, making sure the resources are tailored to the students' abilities
- Monitor students' progress and assist with behavioural management in the classroom
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- A caring and patient approach to working with children with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential
- A flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to a variety of teaching environments and students' needs
- An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.82 - £14.72 per hour
