SEND Teacher in Weymouth

Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Weymouth
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Start Date: January 2025

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Weymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and make a significant difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver tailored and engaging lessons that meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure personalised learning.
  • Collaborate with support staff and external specialists to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support positive outcomes.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teacher, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience working with children with SEND in a school setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
