SEND Teacher

Location: Blandford

Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum(MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)

contract Type: Permanent / Full time

Start Date: January 2025

GSL Education are looking for a committed SEND Teacher to join our inclusive co-educational primary and secondary school in Blandford from the upcoming January term. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and educating students to thrive in both academic and emotional lives.

Responsibilities of a SEND Teacher include:

· Planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities.

· Developing personalised learning strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.

· Working closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to create and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

· Monitoring and tracking student progress, adjusting teaching approaches as needed to ensure all students succeed.

· Providing a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel valued and motivated to learn.

Requirements for a SEND Teacher include:

· A QTS/PGCE/QTLS or equivalent, with experience teaching students with special educational needs.

· Strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt lessons to support diverse learning needs.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.

· An empathetic approach to teaching and supporting students.

· A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
