GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teacher to inspire students in Christchurch at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school!

Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time
Start Date: January 2025

Job Summary:
As an SEN Teacher in Christchurch, you’ll deliver tailored lessons, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting strategies to meet learning objectives.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff members to support student development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistent support.
  • Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
