GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs school community in Dorchester!

Job Title: Teacher (SEN)
Location: Dorchester
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent / Full time
Start Date: January 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as required.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to provide effective classroom support.
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure their implementation.
  • Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of strategies and interventions for SEN.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
