As a Nursery Nurse/ Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, implementing age-appropriate curriculum, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.

Salary: £80-£105 per day 
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time available  

  

Key Responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse/ Teaching Assistant: 

  1. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant you will assist the nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. 

  2. Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction. 

  3. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant you will help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children can learn and thrive. 

  4. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. 

  5. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant you will assist with daily routines, including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play, ensuring the well-being and happiness of all children. 

  6. Contribute to observations and assessments of children's development, helping to monitor progress and plan next steps. 

  

Qualifications and Skills of a Nursery Teaching Assistant: 

  • Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent is desirable. 

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable. 

  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its principles. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring approach to working with children. 

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and education.
