Pay Rate: £87-£108 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role

As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with ASD, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities of ASD Teaching Assistant

  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their academic and personal development.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Implement individualized support plans and strategies.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive interactions.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being.

Requirements of ASD Teaching Assistant

  • Relevant qualifications in supporting students with special educational needs (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in ASD support (desirable but not essential).
