Teacher of Religious Education
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
GSL Education are currently seeking a Teacher of Religious Education, to work at a Client Secondary School located in York, for aJanuary 2025 start. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development.
Teacher of Religious Education Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons.
- Support students' academic and personal growth by promoting understanding and respect for diverse beliefs and cultures.
- Report on students’ progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their potential.
- Contribute to the development of RE resources and curriculum planning within the department.
- Provide additional support to students with learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to ensure all students are supported effectively.
To be considered for the position you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Religious Studies, Humanities, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience desirable.
- A strong understanding of the UK RE curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Hold a Child Only Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
