About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with their education. You will work closely with teachers to provide one-on-one and group support, helping students to improve their understanding of various subjects and their practical skills. Your role will also involve assisting in the preparation of lesson materials, supporting classroom activities, and providing feedback on student progress.

Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:

  • Tailor educational activities and resources to meet the specific needs of the student.
  • Help the students understand and complete their work, providing additional explanations and assistance as needed.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where the student feels valued and included.
  • Cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of the student.
  • Report to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.

Requirements of Teaching Assistant:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the unique challenges and needs of the student.
  • Effectively communicate with the student, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
  • Exhibit patience and empathy in your interactions.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in primary education (desirable but not essential).
