About the Role:
As an MFL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality language education to students, helping them develop their proficiency in one or more foreign languages. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities of MFL Teacher:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that inspire students to learn and appreciate foreign languages.
- Teach a range of subjects to students in Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16).
- Provide one-on-one group instruction tailored to students’ needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to succeed.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to ensure each student is progressing towards their language learning goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences.
- Keep detailed records of student progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents and relevant parties.
Requirements of MFL Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in teaching Modern Foreign Languages is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships within the school community.
- Deep commitment to helping students develop their language skills, exhibiting patience and enthusiasm.
- Relevant qualifications or training in language education (desirable but not essential).

- The right to work in the UK.
- An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be willing to apply for one.
