Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join a special school in Barking & Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and contribute to their development in a specialised educational setting. Experience working with ASD students is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support for students with ASD.
- Assist with behaviour management and promote emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Help create a nurturing and inclusive environment for students to thrive.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with ASD is preferable.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with special needs.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
