Teacher of Spanish
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are looking to hire qualified and enthusiastic MFL Teacher to work as Teacher of Spanish at a client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire starting in January 2025.

As a Teacher of Spanish, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons to secondary students.
  • Focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish Language.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in the target language.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language teaching.
  • Prepare students for external examinations, including GCSE and A-level, through effective teaching and tailored revision sessions.

Teacher of Spanish Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish in a secondary school setting.
  • Be able to deliver Spanish to secondary level; having Spanish as a second language is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children who have additional needs.
  • Build and maintain appropriate relationships with staff, students, and outside agencies.
  • Have a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
