Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a student with specific needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for the student to tailor educational activities and resources to meet their specific needs.
- Provide one-on-one support to the students to help them understand and complete their work, providing additional explanations and assistance as needed.
- Monitor and assess the student’s progress, provide feedback to teachers and adjust support strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to the student’s development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment to foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where the student feels valued and included.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate the student, catering to their diverse learning styles and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of the student’s progress and report to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant
- Prior experience in a similar role is essential, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges and needs of students with specific educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the student, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
- Show a deep commitment to helping the student by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential).

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
